Generul Henderson'a reference to this
remark zay have easily misled absent members into thinking that I had made it in the course of the subsequent informal discussion over the interpreta- tion to be put upon the older governing resolutions proposed by ma, Jeconded by General Henderson and unanimously agreed to at the Meeting held on the
25th September.
It might further have misled absent members into thinking that I had made the remark in a threaten ing and improper manner.

We felt it to be essential that this impression should remain true, In seeking to ensure this we did not display, as General Hender- son seems to think a narrow wish to restrict 1. any way the activities of the Royal Flying Corps Hospital. which would have remained perfectly free to expand in whatever other direction the Committee considered
desirable
